Con Gioia, based in Claremont, presents some of the best performers of early music in the United States and Europe. Following its debut in 1982, the ensemble continues to provide Southern California audiences with outstanding early music performances on period instruments.

Following historical precedents of commemorating the end of plagues with festivities and performances of music, Con Gioia is pleased to offer a free concert this fall to honor victims of COVID-19 and all who tirelessly cared for them in many ways. The program will include sacred and secular vocal works by J.S. Bach, Telemann, and Reinhard Keiser. Con Gioia will strictly follow CDC and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health protocol for performances in indoor venues for this event.
